Why we Sponsor Field Service Connect

KORE Wireless Group is a wireless network data provider. They specialize in machine to machine and Internet of Things solutions and technology.

We spoke to Shaun Clark, Director, IoT Sales EMEA at Kore Telematics about why they sponsored Field Service Connect

Who: Kore Telematics

Where: Field Service Connect, Celtic Manor – Wales

When: May 2019

What: Exhibition Stand and 10 pre-scheduled 1-2-1 Meetings

Benefits: We have the right people to sign in front of us. We're able to take conversations further, as well, after the event. I think certainly it’s the right event for us.

We've had really positive conversations. We’re certainly getting in front of some large businesses; we're speaking to the right people and the key decision makers. But the proof is in the pudding really in how the follow-ups go. We've had 10 meetings so far. We're actually following up on all 10. So that’s 10/10

The concierge piece is quite nice feature actually I think. The organisation has been really good and I really like the concierges bringing people to you and introducing you at the meeting point. And the quality of delegates is really good as well. It’s really really positive.

The attendee profiling was very useful before the event. It helps in the planning stage. We were able to pre-plan before meetings.

We plan on attending again. Obviously it depends on the success of the conversations post-event. The conversations we’ve had have certainly helped to progress from pleasantries to identify their needs and to another meeting further down the line. Hopefully in the follow ups we can have more in-depth conversations, and then hopefully, we can generate some business together from there. As long as that's a success then we’d absolutely sponsor again.

If we were to sponsor again we’d just want more of the same really. It's our first time at this event. Unlike other more traditional events, you have a stand and hope people come to the stand. Whereas, with this event, the Field Service Connect team are matching people up to each other. I wouldn’t change anything, to be honest with you. It's really good.

The networking event last night was good as well. The 2010 Bar at Celtic Manor was a great location because it was fairly relaxed and that helps a conversation flow as well. It was a more relaxed atmosphere. We were able to have conversations last night with people that we didn't actually arrange a meeting with at the main event yesterday, just having a casual drink on the terrace down at the golf club.

Over dinner last night, spoke to a delegate who I'm actually meeting with over lunch today. We've exchanged business cards from the networking event last night as well, so it's not just the 10 people we've seen over the two days. It's additional people as well, so that's great.
